TCD Worker (Seed) Funding

Note: This Seed Funding Project is funded via our Community Transformation Trust (via money from our Barcodes businesses).

New GHNI Project (2023–ongoing)

It often takes more than one year of assessment before a new community can be approved for a full Transformational Community Development (TCD) project.

To address the difficulty of recruiting staff for these initial assessments, CT Trust provides funds to GHNI to hire a TCD Worker whose job is to conduct TCD assessments in potential communities.

Once a community is adopted, the funding rotates to support another worker in a new key area, generating a cycle of multiplication.

Potential Key Regions

Southeast Asia

Starting near Salatiga (Indonesia) to develop a model village/intern program. Three trained workers are already in place.

South Asia

Focusing on Bihar (India) and lower Nepal to promote TCD among the Santal community following a successful vision seminar.

Central Asia

Plans to add an additional worker in Kyrgyzstan following a successful vision seminar in late 2022.

Middle East & North Africa

Initiating in Lebanon. Engaging with multiple partners on the ground to begin full TCD implementation.

Africa

Targeting the Nuba Mountains (Sudan), an area hit by war and famine. High travel costs but massive potential for impact.

East Asia

Starting in Mongolia. Planning full ToTCD training with multiple potential primary partners.

Key Performance Objectives

  • One TCD Worker [Seed] Fund per global region.
  • 4 new TCD villages per region (24 total) by 2027.
  • Full Village-level Adoption for all 24 communities that pass assessment.

"Regions are reviewed bi-annually. If funds are not utilized within six months, they are redirected to high-need regions pending GLT approval."

Strategic Analysis (SWOT)

  • Risk of workers seeking jobs rather than mission
  • Potential for unadopted villages
  • Reporting mechanisms increase responsibilities on RFLs
  • Risk of over-expansion affecting TCD quality
Opportunities
  • Expose other investors to this funding paradigm
  • Capitalize on global awareness of Holistic Ministry
Threats
  • Economic changes affecting village adoption funds
  • High travel costs to obscure regions (Mongolia/Central Asia)
