Overseas Education Project

Mdika Girls’ Hostel, Malawi

In June 2023, Better World Initiative donated $10,000 (via Barcodes Ltd) to World Vision NZ to complete a vital safe-housing project for students in Lipiri.

Mdika Girls Hostel Completion

Project Completion

The project faced delays due to the global pandemic and rising costs. Our donation acted as the final catalyst, allowing the Mdika Girls’ Hostel to officially open in 2024.

Direct Impact: The hostel now offers safe and secure accommodation for 56 girls attending Mdika High School, who previously lived in unstable and often unsafe rented rooms.
