TIPS: Travelers Investing in People and Sustainability

Your trip doesn’t just leave you with great memories—it leaves behind opportunities and hope for others.

Why TIPS?

Tourism is one of the world’s biggest industries, bringing jobs and helping local economies. But the benefits don’t always reach the people who need them most.

Too often, the money ends up with airlines and international chains, while local communities see little real change. TIPS is a simple way to give something back.

The Core Idea

"TIPS is an invitation to go beyond being a tourist and become a partner in sustainability and human dignity."

How it Works

STEP 1

Travel as usual

Go where you want to go—Fiji, Egypt, Europe, or the US. Experience the world fully.

STEP 2

Work out your TIPS

Set aside 5–10% of what you spent. For a $2,000 holiday, that’s a $100–$200 donation.

STEP 3

Support local projects

Direct your TIPS to clean water filters, homeless missions, or sustainability projects.

Practical Examples of TIPS

Why It Matters

  • Visible Impact: Concrete projects for real people.
  • Sustainability: Securing the future of local cultures.
  • Respect: Moving beyond simple "charity tourism."

Enjoy your journey. Leave a TIPS. Make it count.
