KIYOSIMA: Empowering Mothers, Uganda
Founded in 2009 by five single mothers in Kasese, KIYOSIMA works to overcome stigma and build financial independence through skills training and micro-finance.
A Partnership for Independence
Since 2018, Better World and the International Barcodes Network (IBN) have supported KIYOSIMA’s core operations. Our funding covers essential office expenses, school tuition for the children, and the startup costs for vital income-generating projects.
Current Support Focus
Providing the "oxygen" for the organization: rent, utilities, internet, and legal registration, allowing the team to focus on training.
