Some Things We Do

Effective Altruism NZ (EANZ) – We regularly make donations to EANZ & help to operate their website. Effective altruism is a philosophy and social movement that uses reason and evidence to find the most effective ways of improving the world. EANZ supports independently-vetted, highly effective global health and poverty charities including Against Malaria Foundation and GiveDirectly (charities that have strong evidence that they save and improve lives). The charities supported by EANZ are ones that are recommended by GiveWell (a nonprofit focused on helping people do as much good as possible with their donations).

International Barcodes Network – a global network of barcode suppliers (run by International Barcodes Ltd in NZ). The International Barcodes Network has a strong focus on making the world better, and is an ongoing supporter of many community development projects globally.

Some Things We Support

Bright Hope World – Developing and resourcing partnerships with indigenous people who have a vision to transform their communities.  In 2019-2021 we made donations to Bright Hope World to support some of their projects in: Zimbabwe (Peniel Children’s Home for orphans & vulnerable children); Bangladesh (funding a water pump in a village); and Zambia (supporting 5 different orphan care projects).

Global Hope Network International (GHNI) – in 2020-2021 we funded two different 3-year Community Development Projects in villages in Indonesia (in Oting village and Polewali village ). We also funded a 2-year Community Development Project in Tajikistan, and paid for the refurbishment of a drug rehab centre in Vietnam. (Pictures below from left: Tajikistan project, Mawa Village children playing, Mawa Village).
